Festivals have become a huge part of the year-round entertainment schedule at Epcot. In the past, these festivals have largely been based around the fall (Food and Wine Festival) and spring (Flower and Garden Festival) seasons. This year, Disney is taking it a step farther and adding an entirely new event, The Epcot International Festival of the Arts. While very few details of the event were released, we do have a few ideas about what to expect.

As there always seems to be with these events, food and entertainment will be involved. While the new event is not slated to be as grand as Food and Wine or even Flower and Garden, it will feature six weekends of fun! Each weekend between January 13 and February 20th displays will be featured showcasing artwork from such iconic Disney artists as Mary Blair and Herb Ryman, but the entertainment doesn't stop there. As a partnership with Disney theatre, theatrical productions will debut at America Gardens Theatre as well throughout the festival.

Beyond the entertainment, food stands, called "studios", will be present for the event. Each stand will feature artistic and expressive designs through culinary treats for guests to purchase. While this should be an interesting event, the Festival will only be available on weekends (Friday through Monday) for 6 weeks. according to Disney, the entertainment will be different each and every week to give guests even more to experience.

While at this point Disney has given a pretty vague description of the event, it seems to be something new to look forward to. Let us know what you think down below!
